About

Jurgita is a Lithuanian-born, Detroit-based photographer and visual storyteller whose work captures the quiet poetry of everyday life. At the heart of her photography is human emotion at a soul level—an honest, often unspoken current that runs through every frame. Through her lens, ordinary spaces become stages for feeling, stillness, and vulnerability—whether it's a fleeting silhouette in an empty alley or the bold geometry of color and form. With a keen sensitivity to mood and minimalism, Jurgita’s work invites viewers to slow down and notice the subtle beauty that often goes unseen.

Her photography has been featured in several Detroit-based exhibitions, including the Scarab Club, Office Space Gallery, and Chloe Monroe Galleries. She was also published in the inaugural issue of Detroit New Wave, a peer-reviewed quarterly zine showcasing the best of Detroit photography. Her images have been recognized for their ability to transform simple moments into compelling visual narratives. She continues to explore the intersection of the seen, the felt, and the in-between—one frame at a time.
